“Early this morning we took a report of an unsecured firearm stolen from inside a residence. We identified the 16 year old juvenile and located them this afternoon still in possession of the firearm.
The juvenile was thankfully arrested without incident and booked into Yuba County Juvenile Hall on various weapons violations and theft charges.
We are thankful this incident did not turn into something tragic. If you own a firearm, make sure to always secure it in a locked gun safe when not in use.
Due to the age of the juvenile, no further details will be released.”
