“On February 19 officers were dispatched to a reckless driver call on 4th Street near Ross Avenue. The caller reported a black Lincoln Navigator was swerving and causing a hazard in the area.
Responding officers located the vehicle and contacted the driver after noticing that the vehicle’s registration had expired in December of 2019.
While speaking with the driver, officers saw a knife on his person and a firearm in plain view on the front passenger seat.
29-year-old Luis Juarez Orozco was arrested after officers found the firearm and drug paraphernalia.
A record’s check indicated that the Beretta handgun was one of two firearms stolen from a residence in 2020.
Detectives were contacted and informed of the events regarding the recovery of the stolen firearm. They obtained a search warrant for Orozco’s residence.
There they located three additional firearms.
Orozco was booked for carrying a loaded weapon, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.”
