“On March 1, 2021, MPD arrested Enochs High School teacher, Patrick Mester, as a result of an investigation into an inappropriate relationship with an Enochs High School student.
On Monday afternoon, detectives with our Special Victims Unit arrested Mester on charges of annoying or molesting a child under the age of 18.
Modesto City Schools released the following information regarding Mester’s years of employment with the district. He has been employed by MCS since the 2003-2004 school year. He has worked at Enochs High since the 2007-2008 school year as a music/band teacher.
Modesto City Schools took immediate action to ensure Mester has zero contact with students as well as revoked his right to visit any school facility until this investigation is concluded.
As always, MPD and Modesto City Schools will continue working together to make the safety of students a priority.”
