“Tuesday night we responded to Cameron Oak Apartments in Cameron Park for a citizen’s report of hearing power tools near a vehicle.
Deputies responded and located two subjects hiding in a vehicle nearby. The subjects’ vehicle was searched, and several tools associated with catalytic thefts and burglaries were located, as well as a catalytic converter possibly from a prior theft.
Deputies discovered a vehicle with several cuts on the exhaust, indicating an attempted theft of a catalytic converter.
Due to the timely report of the citizen, deputies were able to locate and arrest the suspect. Thank you for helping us put a stop to these catalytic converter thefts.”
