“UPDATE:
On 3/10/2021 at approximately 1237 hours, Chico Police Department dispatch received information that the second involved suspect from the occupied residential burglary earlier in the day was seen riding a bicycle through an apartment complex near Pomona Avenue. The suspect was wearing a backpack that he had stolen during the burglary. Chico Police Officers conducted an area check and located the suspect, identified as Sador Fitsum, near Walnut and W. 2nd Street. Fitsum was positively identified as the other subject involved in the residential burglary and was arrested. The backpack was also identified as the victim’s property and some of its contents.
Fitsum was arrested for residential burglary transported to Butte County Jail.
On 3/10/2021 at approximately 0935 hours, Chico Police Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Ivy Street for a reported residential burglary that had just occurred. Officers arrived on scene and contacted the residents who were home and asleep while the burglary was taking place. One of the residents indicated he was awoken by an unknown noise and walked to the front room of the residence where he contacted two unknown male subjects. The resident indicated the subjects acted as if they belonged in the residence until they fled out the front door carrying bags full of property belonging to the residents.
Chico Police Officers, along with Officers from the Chico State Police Department, conducted an area check for the suspects in the south campus area. An Officer from the Chico State Police Department located a subject near the scene matching the description of one of the suspects. The suspect was also carrying bags similar to those that were taken from the residence during the burglary. The suspect, identified as Dangelo Lynch, was positively identified as one of the suspects responsible for the burglary. Lynch was also in possession of property that was taken during the crime.
Lynch was arrested for residential burglary and transported to Butte County Jail.”
