ORANGEVALE SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR POSSESSING CHILD PORN IMAGES

“On March 17, 2021, the Sacramento Valley Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force arrested 44-year-old George Alonzo Cazares on a felony charge of Possessing Child Sexual Abuse Material. Cazares is currently being held in the Sacramento County Main Jail with a bail amount of $50,000.

The Sacramento Valley Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that an Electronic Service Provider had detected hundreds of images and videos of Child Sexual Abuse Material in electronic accounts held by Cazares.

The task force, which is composed of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office and several regional allied agencies, obtained a Search Warrant signed by a judge and served it at the residence of Cazares. Using an Electronic Detecting K-9 and state of the art forensic computers, investigators located and collected child sexual abuse material evidence.

Cazares has previously worked with the public in positions of trust as a security guard and has attended community/athletic events where minors were present.
