LAKE ELSINORE – A man with a penchant for two wheels is the answer to the mystery of a substantial increase in bicycle thefts. When reports of scads of bikes turned up missing at a local Recreational Vehicle (RV) Park, a theft Investigation ensued.
Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Station Special
Enforcement Team (SET) paid a 2PM visit on 03/10/2021 to a residence on the 800 block of Oriole
Court. Alfonso Suarez (35) was served a search warrant.
“During the service of the search warrant, over thirty bicycles, two stolen vehicles, narcotics, and other items common with theft were recovered,” said Sergeant Jeff Reese.
Deputies wheeled away Alfonso Suarez, age 35, a resident of Lake Elsinore, to Cois Byrd Detention
Center for booking. The arrest charges included possession of narcotics along with possession of quite a lot of stolen property.
