At approximately 5:15 this evening, Officers from our Special Enforcement Unit were patrolling the 2900 block of Piedmont Avenue when they observed Garrett Elshere.
The Officers knew Elshere had an active warrant for his arrest.
Upon seeing Officers, Elshere fled into a residence. Officers surrounded the residence and attempted to de-escalate the situation by requesting Elshere surrender via PA announcements and cell phone contact.
After approximately 1.5 hours Elshere attempted to flee the residence on foot and was taken into custody. Thanks to the Napa County Sheriff’s Office Drone Team for the assistance.
