On April 3, 2021 at approximately 11:28 PM, it was reported to the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office that two individuals in the area of Hayfork, CA, had been stabbed.
Both individuals were transported from the scene and remain in stable condition at a local area hospital.
One of the victims was uncooperative with law enforcement, while the other did provide statement to Detectives while in the hospital.
The alleged suspect in the matter was identified as Luka Vujotic. Vujotic had fled the area prior to the arrival of law enforcement, but responded to the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office during the afternoon of April 4, 2021.
Detectives interviewed Vujotic who admitted to having stabbed the two other individuals. Vujotic indicated that he had done so in self-defense and that he had fled the scene prior to the arrival of law enforcement, as other present individuals had been threatening to kill him.
As it presently stands, Vujotic is in custody at the Trinity County Jail for Attempted Homicide. With that being said however, the matter itself remains under investigation and further developments will be followed with additional press releases.
