“Shortly before 10:30 a.m. on April 3rd, a Placer County Sheriff’s deputy was patrolling in Iowa Hill when he came across a car parked near the Old Iowa Hill Cemetery.
He contacted the male driver, who was identified as 50-year old Steven Coffin of Auburn. As the deputy conducted a pat-down of Coffin’s person for his safety, Coffin became uncooperative and repeatedly tried to stop the deputy.
Coffin eventually complied, and the deputy located five individual baggies of methamphetamine totaling 32.5 grams, black tar heroin, totaling 3 grams, a glass pipe, and a large amount of cash in Coffin’s pockets.
Coffin was arrested for possession and transportation of a controlled substance for sale, obstructing a peace officer and possession of drug paraphernalia.”
