Originally published as a Fresno Police Department press release –
“On Friday, April 9, 2021, shortly after 11:30 pm, officers from the Southeast Policing District responded to an apartment complex in the 3200 Block of East Olive Ave regarding a report of two shooting victims.
Officers arrived and located a 50-year-old Caucasian female in the courtyard of the apartment complex. She was suffering from a gunshot wound and was immediately transported to CRMC. Unfortunately, she was pronounced deceased shortly after her arrival at the hospital.
A second shooting victim was found inside of an adjacent apartment. She is a 21-year-old African American female and mother of two children ages 2 years old and 9 months. The 21-year-old female was pronounced deceased on scene by American Ambulance.
Investigators have identified 24-year-old Deandre Foster as the suspect responsible for both murders. Foster has an outstanding Ramey warrant for the charge of murder and police are asking anyone with information on Foster’s whereabouts, to please contact the Fresno Police Department. He is considered armed and dangerous.
The motive for this murder is domestic violence related as Foster was involved in a dating relationship with the 21-year-old victim.”
On April 10 Foster was arrested after being spotted on W. Alamos Avenue. He was booked on two counts of murder.
