A Pound of Meth and a Pound of Smack – Armed Felonious Gang Member Arrested

JURUPA – The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Gang Task Force extended their long arm of the law while reaching out at a former hot spot amidst reports of suspicious and possible drug activity.
Members of the Corona/Jurupa Valley Regional Gang Task Force arrived on the 10000 block of 60th Street on 04/13/2021.
A traffic-enforcement stop in that area was conducted on a vehicle at about 12:45 PM. While contact was made with the driver, gang member Dennis Ynguez was found to have meth on him.
At this juncture, Gang Task Force Officers executed a thorough search of the vehicle, which revealed a loaded 9mm handgun. This type of discovery required a three-pronged approach going forward.
“Ultimately, Gang Task Force Officers authored and served a search warrant for Ynguez’ residence with the assistance of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Major Crimes Unit and Corona Police Department’s Vice and Narcotics Unit,” said Sergeant R. Bartlett – Corona/Jurupa Valley Regional Gang Task Force. “During the search of the property, approximately one pound of methamphetamine and one pound of heroin was located.”
For the multi-agency reveal of lethal pounds of drugs, a handgun and ammo, Ynguez was arrested for the following firearm and narcotics charges:
11370.1 HS- Possession of a controlled substance while armed
25850(c)(3) PC – Gang member in possession of a gun
11378 HS- Possession of methamphetamine for sales
11351 HS- Possession of heroin for sales
29800(a)(1) PC- Felon in possession of a gun
30305(b)(1) PC- Felon in possession of ammunition
