“Happy Earth Day getting vehicles off the roads, one stolen recovery at a time.
On Thursday, April 15th, an SLTPD Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no license plates.
The driver could not provide identification, and decided to give the officer his brother’s name and DOB.
He said he’d just purchased the car, but was unable to provide any documentation.
The officer ran the VIN number through dispatch, who reported back that the vehicle had been stolen out of Douglas County the day prior.
Tarron Evans, 35, out of Dayton, was arrested for providing false information to a police officer, and for vehicle theft.”
