Los Banos man arrested numerous times in connection to slew of crimes
A Los Banos man has been arrested in connection to numerous recent crimes, according to police.
On the morning of May 10th, police responded to two commercial burglaries — one on the 1400 block of South Mercy Springs Road and the other on the 1400 block of East Pacheco Boulevard.
Surveillance video revealed 20-year-old Jorge Luis Salcedo Munoz as the suspect in the first burglary. Police knew Munoz from his prior arrest a month ago on suspicion of narcotics charges. Police say Munoz was also connected to over forty incidents of vandalism.
Munoz was arrested two days later after a warrant was secured, but later released per the state’s zero-bail order.
On May 14, Munoz was arrested yet again after allegedly being caught trying to hotwire a car. He was also reportedly found to have a small amount of methamphetamine in his possession. He was again later released on $0 bail.
Around the same time, Munoz was identified as the suspect in the second May 10th burglary. He was arrested in connection to the burglary, but later released on his own recognizance.
On the night of May 24, Munoz was arrested once more for allegedly holding a resident on Pitzer Way at gunpoint, after the resident had reportedly caught him trespassing. Officers searched Munoz’s backpack and found property believed to have been stolen during another burglary.
Munoz was ultimately arrested and booked on suspicion of trespassing and possession of stolen property.
