“On May 27, 2021, at approximately 07:53 am, the San Luis Obispo Police Department Communication Center received a phone call from a caller who reported seeing a male standing outside the Court House with a pipe bomb underneath his jacket and threatening to blow up the Court House.
Officers responded to San Luis Obispo Courthouse and immediately notified the San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Office who assisted with evacuating employees from the Courthouse. At the time this was reported the Courthouse was closed but was set to open at 08:30 am.
Officers began searching for the suspect. During the search and investigation officers identified the caller as Ronald Jordan. Jordan was contacted and admitted to making the bomb threat as he was scheduled to appear in court this morning to be remanded on drug-related charges.
After the officer’s investigation, Jordan was arrested for filing a false bomb threat, parole violation, and committing a felony while out on bail. He was transported to San Luis Obispo County jail without incident and booked. Jordan’s charges are listed as 148.1(c) PC, 3056 PC, and a warrant, bail is set at $100,000.”
