“During the evening hours of June 2, 2021 several agencies conducted a saturation foot patrol along areas of Weaver Creek in Weaverville, CA. As weather conditions continuously increase the fire danger, recent fire activity in the area from transient camps has caused concern. The area focused on during the foot patrol consisted mainly of Trinity County and Bureau of Land Management property.
Numerous subjects were contacted, two were arrested for drug related crimes, and several for outstanding warrants. Many environmental violations pertaining to placing trash and other deleterious materials in or near Weaver Creek were documented. The subjects were educated on current fire conditions and the dangers of having camp fires in this area.
An extensive amount of arrest warrants were cleared, 40.2 grams of Methamphetamine, and $11,000 of U.S. currency believed to be used for the purposes of narcotics purchasing and sales were seized.

5652F&G – Deposit, permit to pass into, or place where it can pass into the waters of the state, or to abandon, dispose of, or throw away, within 150 feet of the high-water mark of the waters of the state, any cans, bottles, garbage, motor vehicle or parts thereof, rubbish, litter, refuse, waste, debris in creek.
