“Riverside, CA – On Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 3:08 a.m., Riverside Police officers responded to the Riverside University Health System Medical Center for a male stabbing victim that had been brought into the emergency room.
When officers arrived, they learned the victim had been brought to the hospital by his ex-girlfriend with a stab wound to his chest and died from his injuries minutes after arriving at the hospital. The victim was identified as 25-year-old Robert Emilio Minjares of Moreno Valley.
Preliminary investigation revealed the incident occurred inside Mr. Minjares’ vehicle while parked at a parking lot in the 2000 block of Alessandro Boulevard in Riverside. Mr. Minjares and his ex-girlfriend were involved in an argument inside his vehicle and at some point during the argument she produced a knife and stabbed him in the chest.
Detectives with the Robbery – Homicide Unit, along with Specialists from the Forensics Unit, responded and assumed the investigation. They were assisted by the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office and the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office.
Brittany Juarez, 24-years-old of Moreno Valley, was arrested and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for murder and is being held without bail.
