“In the early morning hours of 06/13/2021, a grand theft and window-smash vehicle burglary targeting construction tools occurred of a work truck parked at a commercial business located on the 600 block of Gateway Boulevard. The property stolen had a combined value of approximately $11,000.
SSFPD Criminal Investigations Bureau Detectives already working a months-long investigation into a crew responsible for numerous catalytic converter thefts in South San Francisco and throughout the Bay Area, quickly determined these same suspects were responsible for the burglary and grand theft on 06/13/2021.
SSFPD Detectives determined the suspects were associated to an address in Richmond, California where a search warrant was obtained and served on 06/17/2021. Two suspects [San Pablo residents] were safely taken into custody.
The search warrant resulted in the recovery of property stolen on 06/13/2021, and numerous power/hand tools believed to be stolen property and commonly used to steal catalytic converters.
In addition, a fully automatic AM-15 machine gun with drum magazine, two Glock handguns with high-capacity magazines, over 5 ounces of suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl, identity theft/fraud material and $2,800 in cash were recovered during the search warrant. Outstanding investigative work!”
