“On Saturday, June 26th, at about 7:38pm, Grover Beach Police Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of South 13th street for a report of a male in a white Chevrolet truck who brandished a firearm at a group of juveniles who were walking home. The male fled the area in his truck prior to the police arriving at the scene. The juveniles were unharmed during the brandishing.
Officers contacted the juveniles and obtained a description of the suspect and his vehicle. A short time later Arroyo Grande Police Officers located the vehicle in the 100 block of South Elm St. in their city. AGPD Officers detained the suspect until Grover Beach Police Officers positively identified the suspect as the man who brandished the firearm at the juveniles in Grover Beach.
A search of his vehicle located an unregistered and loaded semi-auto firearm without a serial number and unlawful high-capacity magazines. This type of firearm is commonly referred to as a “ghost gun”.
Grover Beach Police Officers arrested Ryan Alan Colstonhahn, age 28 from Pismo Beach, and booked him into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on the following felony and misdemeanor charges: 417(a)(2) PC, Exhibiting a Firearm, 32310 PC, possession of high capacity magazines, 273a(a) PC, child endangerment, 25850(a) carrying a loaded firearm inside a vehicle, and 25850(c)(6) PC, carrying an unregistered firearm.”
