“Sheriff Redman is thrilled to announce the arrest of a suspect tied to a series of residential burglaries in the Pioneer area.
On 06/30/21, Amador County Sheriff’s Office detectives developed information that David Richard Lopez Jr. was possibly in possession of stolen property from several residential burglaries in the Pioneer area.
Detectives served a search warrant at Lopez Jr.’s residence in Mountain Ranch and recovered a significant amount of stolen property. Lopez Jr. was arrested on scene and transported to the Amador County Jail where he was booked for residential burglary, possession/receiving stolen property and vehicle theft.
Through follow-up investigation, Detectives connected an associate of Lopez as being involved in the burglaries and learned there was more stolen property hidden at a storage unit in Pine Grove. On 07/02/21, detectives wrote another search warrant to that storage shed and again recovered a large amount of stolen property. Recovered items include large appliances, HVAC system components, gas powered tools, and much more as you can see in our photo!
This is an open and ongoing investigation. Sheriff Redman is happy to bring some closure to the impacted families and continues to make combating property crime a top priority for the Sheriff’s Office.”
