“On 08/16/2021 at 0218 hours, patrol responded to a shooting into a residence in the 1300 block of N. Leslie. During the investigation, officers learned that a residence and vehicle were struck by gunfire and a total of 11 casings were located on scene.
At 0507 hours, patrol responded to a shooting in the 1400 block of N. Turner. Officers learned that a vehicle drove by the victim and fired several rounds in his direction.
Officers determined that both shootings were related, and because of previous personal problems, the victim was being targeted by Donnie Martin. At 0510 hours, patrol officers were able to locate Martin leaving the scene and conducted a traffic stop.
Inside the vehicle, officers located spent casings matching the casings from the shootings. Martin was arrested without incident and booked at the pre-trial facility for PC 246- Shooting at an inhabited dwelling, and PC 245(a)(2)- Assault with a firearm.”
