“Early this morning, Grass Valley Detectives located and arrested 30-year-old Nicholas Cleven in Sacramento for 5 counts of felony vandalism. Cleven was one of two suspects that detectives believed were involved in the June 30th “tagging” of city property and multiple businesses in the downtown Mill Street area. The damage totaled over $10,000 in damage and clean-up costs.
Detectives arrested the first suspect, Andrew Lindquist, on July 2nd and have been in search of Cleven since that time. This morning they caught up with him in Sacramento where he was arrested without incident. They also served a search warrant on Cleven’s residence and located evidence of his involvement in the crime and possibly in numerous other vandalisms throughout the region.
Several agencies have identified Cleven and Lindquist as suspects in similar graffiti incidents in their jurisdictions. Thank you to Sacramento PD for their assistance with the arrest this morning.”
