“On Wednesday, August 26th at 9:44PM, SRPD officers were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 400 block of Mission Blvd regarding a subject in a parked vehicle who was causing a disturbance and threatening neighbors. When officers initially contacted the subject, he was confrontational and refused to comply with lawful orders. While trying to negotiate with the subject, officers learned he had two outstanding warrants for his arrest and because he was threatening the lives of his neighbors, he was now wanted for a new felony charge.
Ultimately, the subject refused to comply with officer’s directions. Officers broke a window in the suspect’s vehicle and extracted him through the same window. During a search of the suspect’s vehicle, officer located two loaded “ghost” guns. The suspect was arrested and booked for threatening his neighbors, warrants, and unlawful possession of the firearms.
August 27, 2021
On Friday, August 27, 2021 at 9:30PM, Officers assigned to the new Special Enforcement Team (SET) located a suspect who had an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest. The suspect tried to flee the area, but officers quickly set up a perimeter. The suspect was located inside a shed and was taken into custody. During a search of the suspect’s property, SET officers located a loaded Glock 27. Based on the suspect’s criminal history, he was prohibited from possessing a firearm. Suspect was booked for his felony warrants and new on-viewed charges. SRPD Case 21-9488.
On Friday, August 27, 2021, during the late evening/night, more than 70 vehicles and 300 people gathered in the area of West Av and Sebastopol Rd to participate in and join sideshows. More information about this to come on Monday, August 30, 2021.

On Saturday, August 28, 2021 in the early morning, SRPD officers responded to the area of Peach Court and Poplar St regarding neighbors hearing gunshots. Officers arrived on scene and located several bullet shell casings in the roadway. No witnesses, victims, or suspects were located. SRPD Case 21-9494.
A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered by the Sonoma County Alliance Community Engagement and Safety Rewards Fund. The reward is for information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects involved in this shooting.
On Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 11:00PM, Officers assigned to the new Special Enforcement Team (SET) conducted a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Santa Rosa Avenue. During the contact, officers discovered the driver was in possession of an illegal firearm. The suspect was later booked into the Sonoma County jail. SRPD Case 21-9530.”
