Fresno Police: Three parolees arrested amid gun violence investigation

“On Thursday, September 2, 2021, beginning at 7:00am, Officers from the Fresno Police Department and California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) conducted a search warrant operation focusing on Bulldog gang members on parole who were related to recent gun violence in the City of Fresno. Members of the Fresno Police Department’s Homicide Unit, Felony Assault Unit, Robbery Unit, Street Violence Bureau Tactical Team and MAGEC Tactical Teams partnered with members of the CDCR – Crisis Response Teams to serve evidence search warrants at seven locations throughout the City of Fresno. The intent of this operation was to locate firearms and additional evidence to push forward gun related violence cases currently being investigated by units in the Street Violence Bureau, along with deterring further violent crimes committed by members of the Bulldog Criminal Street gang.
After the service of the search warrants the following items of evidence were recovered. Two illegal loaded handguns, over 100 rounds of ammunition, a total of ½ ounce of methamphetamine and gang indicia related to the Bulldog Criminal Street gang.
Arrested during the operation were 3 male subjects on parole, 1 male suspect on probation and 2 additional subjects a male and female with felony arrest warrants.
