“Placer County Sheriff’s deputies catch a wanted man traveling through Colfax on a Greyhound bus!
On August 30th, at 11:00 a.m., the Placer County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding a possibly dangerous man traveling on a Greyhound bus from Reno to Sacramento.
The suspect, 24-year old Jaquan Shaw of Contra Costa County, was believed to be carrying two firearms, one that had been stolen earlier that day.
Additionally, Shaw had two outstanding Contra Costa and San Mateo county warrants. Deputies staked out the Greyhound bus station in Colfax and eventually spotted Shaw sitting on a bench in front of a liquor store.
A diversion was created to give deputies time to get together a contact team. Deputies were able to arrest Shaw without incident. A search of his backpack revealed two loaded handguns.
Shaw was arrested for two counts of carrying a loaded firearm in public and his warrants.”
