“Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department detectives have made an arrest in the homicide which took place just outside of Riverbank on Hwy-108 early afternoon on Thursday, September 9, 2021.
The suspect has been identified as 42-year-old Riverbank resident Jose Valencia. We are still in the process of identifying the person who was fatally wounded by gunfire during the altercation.
Our investigation remains active and ongoing. Valencia was booked into the Public Safety Center on murder charges, where he will remain on a no-bail status until his arraignment.
