DEPUTY SPOTS SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE, GETS DRUGS OFF THE STREETS

“Yesterday morning, Deputy Stephens was patrolling the area of Microtronics Way and Camage Avenue in Sonora when he spotted vehicle near a dumpster and a male and female rummaging through the dumpster.
As Deputy Stephens approached the two, the male took off running. The female, identified as 33-year-old Stephanie Foster of Mi Wuk Village, remained on scene. Foster told the deputy she had a warrant for her arrest, which a record check confirmed.
Deputy Stephens verified the vehicle near the dumpster was Foster’s and obtained permission to search it. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and Deputy Stephens located a bag on the back seat of the vehicle. Inside the bag was drug use paraphernalia, packaging material, live ammunition of various calibers, and over 130 grams of suspected methamphetamine separated in eight various amounts.
Additionally, a second bag was located containing over three grams of suspected heroin and almost two grams of suspected methamphetamine. The investigation determined the male who fled the scene was the owner of the first bag and Foster owned the second bag.
Foster was arrested for her felony warrant, possession of heroin, and possession of methamphetamine. A search of the area for the male was conducted but he was not located. Due to the investigation, the identity of the male subject is not being released at this time.”
