UPDATE HARRISON STREET HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION

“Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Detectives arrested Jerrin Ranell Norman (31), William Edward Tardy (29), Gene Gibson (25) and Desmon Damon Pierceson (27) for the March 9, 2021 murder of Brian Sotelo (19). All are being held in the Sacramento County Main Jail without bail. Several suspects are responsible for multiple murders. They will appear in department 62 on October 4, 2021 at 3 p.m. No further information is available at this time.

At 5:48 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a call from a citizen near the intersection of Madison Avenue and Harrison Street in North Sacramento County. The caller stated that they heard gun shots then saw a vehicle with bullet holes. Additional callers pinpointed the location of the vehicle and said the only subject inside the vehicle appeared to be dead.

Deputies arrived at the location and found the vehicle with a single occupant, an adult male, slumped over and unresponsive in driver’s seat. Fire arrived moments later and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

Homicide detectives are investigating. No suspect information is available. No further information is available at this time.
