Fresno Police arrest suspect in recent shooting of homeless man

“On Thursday, October 7, 2021, detectives from the Street Violence Bureau’s Felony Assault Unit arrested 40-year-old Terrance Maxwell for a shooting that occurred earlier in the week.
On Monday, October 4, 2021, at 5:13 p.m., Maxwell was involved in a disturbance with a homeless male in the area of Olive Avenue and Palm Avenue. During the disturbance, Maxwell pulled out a firearm and shot at the victim. The bullet’s fragments struck the victim in the arm and nose. Detectives responded to the scene and were able to identify Maxwell as the shooting suspect. A search warrant was authored and served at Maxwell’s residence, and detectives located a rifle inside.
Detectives contacted Maxwell, who ultimately turned himself in. The firearm that he used in the shooting remains outstanding. Maxwell was booked at the Fresno County Jail on charges related to the shooting.”
