One woman and three men were arrested after two men were shot in downtown Huntington Beach.
Huntington Beach received reports of gunshots heard in the area of 3rd Street and Walnut Avenue at around 11:40 p.m. on Tuesday, October 5th. When they got there, they found two men with gunshot wounds.
A short time after the incident, police pulled over a vehicle near the shooting site. Inside were five people whose descriptions matched those of the shooting suspects. Each of them was arrested and transported to the Huntington Beach Police Station for interview. After questioning, one suspect was released.
The four suspects who remained in custody were 23-year-old Gihae Hong of Lake Elsinore, 27-year-old Devonte Thornton of Lake Forest, 22-year-old Ty’On Lee of Los Angeles, and 24-year-old Isaiah Gist of Westminster.
They were each charged with assault with a firearm.
“The investigation into the incident is still ongoing, however the preliminary investigation suggests that an argument and physical altercation had taken place between the two groups shortly before the shooting,” states the release.
Further details about the incident were not immediately available.
