Two high school girls arrested for assaulting another girl after volleyball game
Two high school girls have been arrested for assault and robbery after allegedly beating up another girl and taking her jewelry after a sporting event.
Rancho Cucamonga police were called out to Etiwanda High School at about 7 p.m. on October 12th after a fight between three girls had broken out in the school parking lot. Several witnesses told police that two teenage girls had assaulted another girl after a volleyball game at the high school.
The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries, according to the release, but her jewelry had apparently been stolen during the scuffle. By the time police arrived, the two girls had already taken off.
Police identified one of the suspects as a 17-year-old student at Rancho Cucamonga High School. The morning after the incident, police located her at her school and arrested her there. She was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and robbery and booked into Juvenile Hall.
The second suspect, another 17-year-old girl, was identified on the evening of October 13th. She was arrested at her school in Rancho Cucamonga the following morning and booked into Juvenile Hall on the same charges.
