From Hollister Police Department
WEAPONS ARREST – Last night, officers responded to the 100 block of McCray Street regarding the report that a subject was “down” inside of a vehicle and unresponsive.
Officers arrived and contacted a 26 year-old Hollister resident. They were intoxicated and performed poorly on a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests before being arrested for DUI.
A search of the suspect’s vehicle revealed a loaded, unregistered “ghost” handgun in the center console of the vehicle.
The suspect was a convicted felon, and therefore was booked at the San Benito County Jail on charges including DUI and weapons offenses.
