When officers arrived, they found a female inside the residence who had suffered what appeared to be multiple stab wounds and had succumbed to her injuries prior to our arrival.
The female victim was identified as Cassandra Tomes, a 39-year-old resident of Corona. During the investigation, detectives from the Corona Police Department identified Jeremy Pearson, a 37-year-old resident of Corona, as being the victim’s boyfriend and the sole suspect in her murder.
A warrant for Pearson’s arrest was obtained and he was located on the morning of November 9th by members of the Sparks (Nevada) Police Department. Pearson was arrested on the warrant and is currently being held in the Washoe County (Nevada) Jail pending his extradition to California. There is no threat to public safety.”
