SAN RAFAEL — A woman was arrested following an investigation of a hit and run accident that injured a motorcyclist in October. The suspect 28-year-old Coraima A. Pampin-Pasos allegedly hit the motorcycle while driving a stolen SUV and fled.
The accident occurred October 16 near the intersection of Mission Avenue and Hetherton Street. The motorcyclist suffered major but non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators reviewed surveillance video from a business, near the scene of the accident. This enabled San Rafael police to identify the suspect vehicle and ultimately the suspected hit and run driver.
Pampin-Pasos who works as a cook was subsequently contacted by authorities. She purportedly admitted being involved in a collision and leaving the scene without stopping.
