Sometimes we can get so angry we just don’t know what to do, so we take out our frustrations on inanimate objects like pillows or punching bags or…tires.
That’s exactly what 45-year-old Camarillo resident Alejandro Rojas apparently did after a night out at a local bar on November 19 th that left him so upset with an unidentified gentleman that he walked outside and slashed the tires on the other fellow’s car.
According to Ventura County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Sgt. Steve Michalec, however, that violence-against-inanimate object episode failed to assuage Rojas’ rage, and at approximately 2:05 AM, a 911 Emergency call to the Camarillo Police Station brought patrol units and deputies attached to the Special Enforcement Detail and the Sheriff’s Gang Unit to the scene of “a reported stabbing.”
Upon arrival at the scene, deputies discovered “an adult male victim suffering stab wounds.” The 53-year-old male resident of Camarillo was urgently transported to a local area hospital for treatment of injuries consistent with multiple stab wounds.
As the victim’s condition deteriorated at the hospital and he was “taken into surgery,” deputies determined that Rojas was responsible for the attack and took him into custody. Rojas was then transported to Ventura County Jail, where he was booked on charges of attempted murder and vandalism, with his bail set at $510,000.
