“Merced – Catarino Flores (33) was arrested for possession of a stolen motor vehicle, possession of a stolen firearm, and narcotics.
On 12/5/2021 at 7:45 PM, Officer Paynter located a stolen motor vehicle in the 1100 block of W. Olive Ave. The vehicle drove into the Lowe’s parking lot where a high-risk felony stop was conducted by officers. The solo-occupant, Catarino Flores, was detained.
Officers searched the vehicle and located a stolen 9 mm semi-automatic firearm, ammunition, narcotics, and an operable police scanner.
Flores was arrested for several weapon violations, a felony arrest warrant, and possession of a stolen motor vehicle. The vehicle was returned to the registered owner. Flores was booked into custody at the Merced County Jail.
