62-year-old man from Joshua Tree arrested on child pornography charges
A 62-year-old man allegedly responsible for distributing child pornography was arrested at his home in Joshua Tree.
The suspect, Mark Lee White, was arrested on November 23rd after investigators served a search warrant at his home, located in the 61600 block of El Cajon Road, and found evidence of the charges.
The home was identified as a place of interest after “the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Crimes Against Children Detail (CAC) and Sheriff’s Hi-Tech Division, began an investigation into the downloading, possession and distribution of child pornography,” according to the release. “Through investigation, it was determined the child pornography was distributed from a home in Joshua Tree.”
White was booked at Central Detention Center for the distribution and possession of child pornography. No further details about the case were released.
“The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is a member of the Los Angeles Regional Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which works cooperatively with a vast network of local, state, and federal law enforcement partners to pursue those who violate crimes of child exploitation.”
