“On Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at approximately 12:44 a.m., SMPD officers responded to the 700 block of Monte Diablo Avenue on the report of a group of people threatening the occupants of a residence.
Upon arrival, an SMPD officer quickly located two males who matched the description of the persons accused of threatening the residents. The officer ordered the two males to stop, but they refused his lawful order.
When the officer approached one of the males, who was later identified as a juvenile, the juvenile punched the officer in the face. A struggle then ensued. Additional officers arrived on scene and the struggle briefly continued until the officers overcame the suspect’s resistance and effected his arrest. The other male, who was later identified as Adrian Recinos, was arrested without incident.
