The neiughbor next door came to respondiong officers and told then that his truck had just been stolen by 32-year-old Carlos Palmerin, the dead man’s son.
Carlos had “fled to Mexico in the stolen truck.”
The next day Carlos was detained at the San Ysidro Border Crossing. He was attempting to re-enter the US.
Detectives with the Murrieta Police Department came and took Carlos to process him in Murrieta, booking him for murder, auto theft, and receiving stolen property.
