The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a suspect in connection to a recent jewelry store robbery.
36-year-old James Jonathan Pizzagrani was identified as one of the suspects in the December 3 robbery of a jewelry store on Florin Road in Sacramento. The reporting party said two men had entered the store with guns, stolen a large amount of merchandise, and fled in a waiting vehicle, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators tracked Pizzagrani to a motel in Pinole and took him into custody without incident. During the arrest, investigators reportedly also located a semi-automatic weapon and other evidence connecting him to the robbery, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Pizzagrani was booked at the Sacramento County main jail on charges related to the robbery, as well as three outstanding warrants out of three counties, with bail set at $1 million.
