December 23, 2021 – Santa Barbara County, Ca.
According to Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department Public Information Officer Raquel Zick, an investigation of a reported sexual assault in March of this year has identified 56-year-old Orcutt resident Faustino Urrutia as the man responsible “multiple assaults” in the Orcutt community.
In their efforts to identify additional victims and “survivors” of Urrutia’s tactics, “this investigation remains ongoing” and law enforcement is “releasing Urrutia’s booking photo and encouraging anyone with information” about his activities to contact the SBSD’s anonymous tip line at (805) 681-4171.
The preliminary investigation leading to Urrutia’s December 15 th arrest indicated that his victims “were Spanish-speaking females he lured to his home in Orcutt as prospective house cleaners.”
Once the job seekers were inside his residence, Urrutia then allegedly perpetrated his sexual assaults. With multiple reports of those tactics on hand, detectives obtained a warrant for his arrest on felony sexual assault charges. He was taken into custody following a “routine” traffic stop that day.
Urrutia was transported to Santa Barbara County Jail, where he was booked on multiple charges of felony sexual assault, with his bail set at $100,000.
