“On January 5th at 2 a.m., a Placer County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on Athens Avenue, in Lincoln. The deputy contacted the driver and identified him as 45-year-old Jason Velebit of Davis.
As the deputy was talking to Velebit, he observed a plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine in plain sight. The deputy searched Velebit and found another plastic bag with a large amount of methamphetamine in Velebit’s sweatshirt.
A search of Velebit’s car revealed a glass smoking pipe, a digital scale, and a box of plastic bags.
Velebit was arrested for possession and transportation of methamphetamine for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia. ”
