“On Friday January 28, at approximately 9 am, a Patrol Sergeant with the Chico Police Department located a suspicious subject and vehicle at the 7-11 Store at 1111 Forest Avenue in south Chico.
The vehicle was determined to have been stolen from an apartment complex in south Chico on January 18. The suspect who was seen getting out of the vehicle and going into the store, fled out the back of the store and into a nearby creek bed after seeing the Sergeant.
A perimeter was quickly set up by responding patrol officers. The suspect was located a short distance away climbing out of the creek bed. He was detained without incident.
The suspect, identified as 28 year-old Jordan Tapp, was positively identified as the person who was in possession of the stolen vehicle. Officers also found a Glock imitation replica pistol as well as Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Tapp was on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) for a prior felony conviction. He was arrested for suspicion of:

3455 PC: PRCS Probation Violation
11377(a) H&S: Possession of Methamphetamine
11364(a) H&S: Possession of paraphernalia
