Madera County Sheriff’s Office announces arrests in connection to recent traffic stops
The Madera County Sheriff’s Office has announced two recent arrests following separate traffic stops.
On the night of January 16, deputies arrested 42-year-old Ryan David Osteen of Mariposa after reportedly spotting him behind the wheel of a Ford F-250 that had been reported stolen. Deputies pulled Osteen over along Highway 41 in Oakhurst and took him into custody. They also discovered he had an outstanding felony warrant out of Mariposa County.
Osteen was ultimately booked at the Madera County Jail on several charges, including possession of a stolen vehicle, probation violation, and the felony warrant.
The next night, patrol deputies reportedly pulled over Diana Bucholz of Oakhurst along Highway 41 in the area of Royal Oaks Drive. Bucholz had an active misdemeanor warrant out of Madera County, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies then conducted a search of the vehicle, leading to the discovery of a loaded gun and methamphetamine. She was later booked at the Madera County Jail on the outstanding warrant, as well as charges including carrying a loaded firearm by an unregistered person and possession of methamphetamine.
