“Last night, while Officers and Detectives worked tirelessly trying to investigate the homicide that took place, they had to deal with poor decisions that took resources away from the investigation.
Francisco Felix (29) decided that he wanted to drive drunk last night and in his drunken state did not want to stop for Officers blocking off the homicide scene. Felix narrowly missed several Officers and the Crime Scene Investigations (CSI) truck while driving through the scene.
Felix’s poor decisions came to an end when he crashed into a marked patrol car that had an Officer seated inside who sustained minor injuries. Felix was arrested and blew a .26 BAC, well over the legal limit.
Thankfully no one was seriously injured and the crime scenes integrity was not compromised. This could have ended very bad and could have affected the homicide case. SPD would like to continue to stress to the public not to drink and drive!!! #buzzeddrivingisdrunkdriving #MADD #poordecisions #thankfuleveryoneissafe”
