Nine Violent Crime-Spree Members Charged with Conspiracy, Murder
LOS ANGELES – Over the past several months, a series of murders and attempted murders took place. Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón recently announced that nine people have been charged.
According to the District Attorney’s Office, charges were filed earlier this week with the murder of Arron Sutton (18) in November 2021; the murder of Christopher Woods (61) also in November 2021; the murder of Timonhy Lee (24) also in November; the murder of Kodi Martin, (23), and Erika Dixon (24), on Dec. 3, 2021; the murder of Jamahl Feemster(29) on Jan. 4, 2022; and three attempted murders.
The six defendants who pleaded “Not Guilty” are on the docket for upcoming preliminary hearings in the Compton Branch of Los Angeles Superior Court. Investigation by The Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is handling ongoing Case TA156604.
“I am committed to making sure there are serious consequences for anyone who lacks compassion for another human life. My heart aches for every family who has lost a loved one to violent crime. We will work with them to provide trauma-informed services,” District Attorney Gascón said.
“Meanwhile, my office is working diligently with our law enforcement and community partners to reduce violent crime across Los Angeles County,” stressed Gascón. “I have embedded veteran prosecutors and investigators with police in communities where violence has been prevalent.”
