“Yesterday afternoon, a deputy in south county contacted Derick Barajas on the outskirts of the City of Greenfield.
Barajas was believed to have an arrest warrant. When deputies detained him he attempted to punch the deputy.
After searching a backpack in Barajas possession, a loaded sawed off shotgun was located hidden inside a sock. Deputies also located counterfeit $20 bills in his possession.
Barajas was booked into our county jail for felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a short barreled shotgun, felon in possession of ammunition, and resisting arrest.”
