“Placer County Sheriff’s deputies in Auburn jumped from call to call in the early morning hours of March 3rd, responding to multiple back-to-back burglaries and arresting the suspects!

At 4:35 a.m., deputies responded to a suspicious circumstances call at the Look Sharp Salon and quickly spotted a man hiding in the bushes near the business. One of the windows had been broken, and there were four electric guitars located near the suspect.

During the investigation, deputies found video surveillance of the suspect manipulating cameras at the salon. Deputies arrested the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Levi Young of Fresno, for burglary. Young was additionally charged with bringing a controlled substance into the jail after he was searched by correctional officers who found two large clear plastic bindles containing a crystal-like substance.

At 5 a.m., deputies responded to a burglary on Silverhawk Way, where they learned a purse had been stolen from an unlocked vehicle in a partially open garage. Dispatchers told deputies there was a man in the area seen leaving on a bicycle. Deputies began searching the area and found a man matching the description of the suspect along Dry Creek Road.

They contacted the man and observed a wallet near him belonging to a second victim. The suspect was identified as 57-year-old Roy Foster of Carmichael. Foster was arrested for burglary and receiving known stolen property.

We thank our deputies for their hard work each day and want to remind you to please lock your home and car doors AT ALL TIMES”
