POMONA – A call for help about a victim of a shooting on the 1400 block of Laurel Ave., Pomona, brought Pomona Police Department Officers onscene at approximately 1808 hours on March 1st. There, a male juvenile was suffering from a gunshot wound.
Immediate transport to a local hospital treated and released the 14-year-old anonymous victim. Investigation revealed that an occupant of an SUV had driven up – and shot.
An immediate search of the area revealed a possible suspect vehicle, stoppped on the 1100 block of South Towne Avenue, which contained four suspects:
Juan Jesus Torres, (22,) Pomona resident
Danny Francisco Barquero,(22,) Pomona resident
Rizkalla, Hennessey, (19,) Pomona resident
Anonymous Male Juvenile, (16,) Riverside resident
Pomona PD Sergeant Iain Miller announced, “Detectives from the Pomona Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit responded and assumed the investigation. The 4 subjects that were stopped were found to be involved in the earlier shooting. All 4 subjects were booked at the Pomona City Jail for 664/187 PC – Attempted Murder (DR# 22-021548) – Attempted Murder.”
