27-year-old Jervon Winston was reported missing on October 5, 2021. He was reortedly last seen on September 26.
Detectives began an investigation and devloped more information that “indicated Winston was the victim of a homicide.” This included the identification of a crime scene at a Twentynine Palms residence.
On October 8 human remains were discovered in the desert that were then identified as Winston.
In addition, the investiogation determined that 26-year-old Miguel Ibarra was the shooter and that his accessories were 21-year-old Michael Isaacs and 20-year-old Damien Wilkerson.
One by one each suspect was arrested.
First, on October 12, detectives contacted and then arrested Isaacs for accessort. Second, on November 19, Wilkerson was also booked for accessory.
Finally, on March 6, 2022, Ibarra was located in Coachella and “taken into custody for his active murder warrant.” He was booked at the Central Detention Center for homicide.
